Mix until combined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stir in the pecans: Gently fold in the toasted pecans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 2: Bake the Cake<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Divide the batter: Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cake pans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bake: Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cool: Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans and transfer them to a rack to cool completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 3: Prepare the Cream Cheese Frosting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beat cream cheese and butter: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add the powdered sugar and vanilla: Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until completely incorporated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 4: Assemble the Cake<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cake Layer: Place a cake layer on a serving plate or cake stand. Spread a generous amount of cream cheese frosting on top.
