\u2605Ingredients<\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 cup breadcrumbs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 1\/2 pounds ground beef<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1\/2 cup milk<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 cloves garlic, minced<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 large onions, thinly sliced<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 egg, beaten<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 teaspoon dried thyme<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1\/2 teaspoon black pepper<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1\/2 teaspoon salt<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 tablespoons butter<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 cup shredded Gruy\u00e8re or Swiss cheese<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1\/4 cup beef broth<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2605Instructions<\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preheat your oven to 350\u00b0F (175\u00b0C).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and saut\u00e9 the thinly sliced onions until they are caramelized and golden brown, about 20-25 minutes. Add a splash of beef broth to deglaze the pan and stir until the liquid is absorbed. Set aside to cool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, minced garlic, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mix in the cooled caramelized onions and half of the shredded cheese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan, pressing it down to form a loaf shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top of the meatloaf and return it to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
