Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, ground flaxseed, rolled oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In another bowl, mix together the honey or maple syrup, buttermilk or yogurt, melted coconut oil or olive oil, and egg until well combined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; the batter should be thick and lumpy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle seeds on top if desired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
