Instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F (175\u00b0C). Grease and flour an 8- or 9-inch round cake pan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Preparing the plums: Mix the plum slices with lemon juice and set aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mixing the dry ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and salt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Buttercream and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Add the eggs and vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Arrange the plums: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Arrange the plum slices on top of the dough in a circular shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sprinkling sugar: Sprinkle plums with 1 tablespoon granulated sugar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bake: Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
