Preheat the oven to 325\u00b0F (163\u00b0C) and prepare a 13\u00d79-inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Place the cornstarch in a large resealable bag, add the chicken pieces, seal, and shake to coat evenly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Dip each cornstarch-coated chicken piece into the beaten eggs, ensuring full coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. Sear the chicken in the hot skillet until golden brown on all sides (no need to cook fully through).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8. Transfer the seared chicken to the prepared baking dish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the Sauce<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. In a bowl, mix sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic powder until well combined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.
