\u2013 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
\u2013 1 large onion, thinly sliced
\u2013 2 tablespoons olive oil
\u2013 1 teaspoon salt
\u2013 \u00bd teaspoon black pepper
\u2013 1 teaspoon garlic powder
\u2013 1 teaspoon dried thyme
\u2013 1 cup heavy cream
\u2013 1 cup milk
\u2013 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
\u2013 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or dill, chopped (for garnish)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructions:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Preheat the Oven:<\/strong>
    \u2013 Preheat your oven to 375\u00b0F (190\u00b0C).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Prepare the Potatoes and Onions:<\/strong>
    \u2013 In a large bowl, combine the sliced potatoes and onions. Drizzle with olive oil, and add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme. Toss to coat the potatoes and onions evenly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Assemble the Bake:<\/strong>
    \u2013 Grease a baking dish or cake pan. Arrange a layer of the potato mixture at the bottom of the dish.
    \u2013 Pour half of the heavy cream and milk over the potatoes.
    \u2013 Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the top.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    \u2013 Add another layer of the remaining potatoes and onions.
