{"id":551,"date":"2024-09-20T13:03:44","date_gmt":"2024-09-20T13:03:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dejunair.com\/?p=551"},"modified":"2024-09-20T13:03:46","modified_gmt":"2024-09-20T13:03:46","slug":"soft-buttered-flatbread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dejunair.com\/?p=551","title":{"rendered":"Soft buttered flatbread"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">\u2605Ingredients<\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 tsp salt<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 cups all-purpose flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 tsp baking powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 tsp sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 tbsp butter (melted) + extra for brushing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 tbsp yogurt or sour cream<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 tbsp oil (for cooking)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00be cup warm water<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">\u2605Instructions<\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare the Dough<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add yogurt (or sour cream), melted butter, and warm water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Form the Flatbreads<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>After the dough has rested, divide it into equal portions (about 6-8 balls).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roll each ball into a flat circle using a rolling pin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cook the Flatbreads<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Heat a pan or griddle over medium heat and add a little oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Place a rolled-out dough circle onto the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles start to form and the bottom turns golden brown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flip the flatbread and cook the other side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add the Butter<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Once both sides are cooked and slightly golden, remove the flatbread from the pan and brush it generously with melted butter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stack them on a plate and brush each one with more butter for a rich, soft texture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Serve<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>These flatbreads can be served warm with any dipping sauce, honey, or cheese.
