Prepare the Steaks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pat steaks dry and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heat olive oil and butter in a heavy skillet (cast iron preferred) over medium-high heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sear steaks for 3\u20134 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer depending on desired doneness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer to a plate and tent with foil to rest while you make the sauce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add 1 tablespoon butter and the minced garlic. Cook for 30\u201360 seconds until fragrant, not browned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour in the broth and scrape up any brown bits from the pan. Simmer for 2\u20133 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lower heat and stir in the cream, mustard (if using), garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Simmer gently until thickened (3\u20135 minutes), stirring occasionally.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Season with salt and pepper to taste.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.
