Ingredients
1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
4 large eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120ml) milk, at room temperature
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a standard loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Prepare the Batter:
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
Pour and Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
