Ingredients:
- 2–3 cups leftover stuffing
- 1–1½ cups cooked turkey, shredded or chopped
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- ¼ cup chicken or turkey broth (just enough to moisten)
- ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss – optional but yummy)
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs (for extra crispness – optional)
- Butter or oil spray, for baking or air frying
Instructions:
1. Mix It Up
- In a large bowl, combine stuffing, turkey, egg, cheese (if using), and just enough broth to help everything stick together — it should be moist but not mushy.
2. Form Balls
- Scoop and roll mixture into balls (about golf ball size).
- Optional: Roll them lightly in breadcrumbs for an extra crispy crust.
3. Cook ‘Em Up
➡️ Oven:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Spray or brush with butter/oil.
- Bake 20–25 minutes, until golden and heated through.
➡️ Air Fryer:
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Spray basket and balls lightly with oil.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through, until crispy and golden.
Serve With:
- Cranberry sauce, gravy, or a creamy mustard dip
- On top of mashed potatoes or as sliders with a little gravy drizzle
- Even tossed in a warm salad for a cozy lunch
Variations:
- No stuffing? Use mashed potatoes + breadcrumbs instead!
- Add-ins: Chopped green onions, leftover roasted veggies, or a pinch of sage or thyme for more holiday flavor.
- Make ahead: You can form the balls and refrigerate or freeze them before baking.
