  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup diced onions (optional)
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles (optional, but highly recommended)

For assembly:

  • 2 store-bought or homemade pizza crusts (12-inch or personal size)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce OR burger sauce (see below)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • 6–8 slices American cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits (optional, but awesome)
  • Sesame seeds (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Optional burger sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp relish or finely chopped pickles
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

 Instructions:

1. Prepare the beef:

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder.
  • Stir in ketchup, mustard, and onions. Cook until well-combined and beef is browned. Set aside.

2. Cook the crusts:

  • Prebake the pizza crusts according to package or recipe instructions (slightly undercook so they can finish together later).

3. Assemble the stack:

Layer 1 (bottom crust):

  • Spread sauce (or burger sauce) on first crust.
  • Add half the ground beef, shredded mozzarella, cheddar, and pickles.
  • Top with a few slices of American cheese.
  • Sprinkle with bacon bits if using.

Layer 2 (top crust):

  • Place second crust on top.
  • Repeat sauce, beef, cheeses, and toppings.
  • Brush edges with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds on top for a burger bun effect.

4. Bake the stack:

  • Carefully place the stacked pizza back in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10–15 minutes, until cheese is bubbling and top is golden.
