Crazy Dough Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Gradually add the flour to the wet ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and it’s ready to be used in your favorite recipes!
