Amish Country Casserole

★Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 750 grams (about 1.5 pounds) of lean ground beef
  • 2 cups smashed garlic
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 600 grams (22.6 ounces) condensed tomato soup
  • 500 grams (16 ounces) of pasta of your choosing
  • 600 grams (22.6 ounces) condensed mushroom soup
  • 1 cup (250 milliliters, or 8.45 fluid ounces) milk
  • 1/2 cup dried parsley
  • 1/2 cup paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

★Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and spray a baking dish with cooking spray.

Cook Pasta: Cook the pasta in a large pot according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.

Cook Meat: While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and smashed garlic, and sauté until softened. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and tender.

Combine Ingredients: Return the drained pasta to the pot. Add the cooked beef mixture, condensed tomato soup, condensed mushroom soup, and milk. Mix well to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika and dried parsley.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is golden and bubbling.

Serve: Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes*

  • Partially Cook Veggies* If using vegetables that require more cooking time, ensure they are partially cooked before adding to the casserole to avoid them being undercooked.
