Homemade Chocolate Coconut Bars

Ingredients:

  • 10.6 oz (300 grams) milk chocolate
  • 7 oz (200 grams) sweetened condensed milk
  • 10.6 oz (300 grams) shredded coconut
  • 2 tbsp powdered milk

 Instructions:

  1. Make the Coconut Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine:
    • Sweetened condensed milk
    • Shredded coconut
    • Powdered milk
Mix everything well until a thick, moldable dough forms.
  2. Shape the Bars
Press the coconut mixture into a compact rectangular slab (on parchment paper or a tray).
Slice into bars or bite-sized shapes as you prefer.
  3. Melt the Chocolate
Place the milk chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  4. Coat the Bars
Dip each coconut bar into the melted chocolate, making sure it’s fully coated.
Use a fork to lift and let the excess chocolate drip off.
  5. Set the Candies
Place the coated bars on a tray lined with parchment paper.
Transfer the tray to the refrigerator or freezer until the chocolate is firm (about 30–60 minutes).
  6. Enjoy!
Once set, remove from parchment and store in an airtight container in a cool place or the fridge.

Tips:

  • You can use dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate if you prefer a richer taste.
  • Optional: Add a dash of vanilla extract to the coconut mixture for extra flavor.
  • For a festive touch, drizzle melted white chocolate on top after setting
