4 cloves of garlic, minced
4 cod fillets (approximately 6 ounces each)
1 lemon, thinly sliced
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
Place the cod fillets in the baking dish.
Season the cod fillets with salt and pepper.
Evenly distribute the minced garlic over the cod fillets.
Arrange the lemon slices on top of the cod fillets.
Drizzle the olive oil over the cod fillets.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cod is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Remove the foil during the last 5 minutes of baking to allow the lemon slices to caramelize slightly.
Once cooked, garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
